What is your creative process like when making music?

 

• My creative process is somewhat all over the place however for instrumental music and beats I usually always begin with piano and figure out the harmonic structure of the track first. Then after that I think of a sing-able melody and go from there. 

 

In the last five years, what new belief, behavior, or habit has most improved your life?

 

• I am constantly trying to combat perfectionism but as I have started creating more music and collaborating with different artists I have been able to work through some of this. I remind myself that perfection is not attainable and at some point you just have to let go and "publish" rather than finish your art. Also in the past couple of years I have been working towards de-conditioning myself from the mindset that one always have to be "productive." We weren't born to be productive and you're not lazy if you need rest.

 

If you could live anywhere, where would it be? Why?

 

• If I could live anywhere I would live in London in the Summer and Austin, Texas in the winter. 

 

What is your favorite season and why?

 

• Spring and Summer. In the UK those are my favorite seasons. Growing up in Texas however Summer was not exactly my favorite season weather-wise.

 

Where do you feel the most centered and happy?

 

• Playing on stage. I am trying to get back into it with my other projects after Covid but it is taking some time.
