Q&A / Tmpecho
What or who inspired you to start making music?
-
I honestly don't know exactly what inspired me first to make music. I remember finding lofi hip-hop and listening to it in my car for the first time. Immediately I was hooked. At that point, I was around 12. I needed to make something similar. After that, I discovered the legends such as Dilla, Madlib, etc. and it has been a rolling snowball ever since.
What is your creative process like when making music?
-
It's different for every track. Sometimes I hear a song and feel inspired, other times I just sit down with my daw or my 303/404sx and fiddle around until something sounds good. I don't like the idea of having a recipe for making a song. That's why I make so much different music.
What inspires you the most in your daily life? Why?
-
Music. I love listening to and exploring different music. Sometimes it's through Spotify, other times vinyl.
If you could tell every person in the world one thing, what would it be?
-
It would be to get a hobby. I think hobbies are very important to have and give a lot of happiness.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be? Why?
-
I would love to live in Japan. Not that I know Japanese or know anyone there, but Japan is beautiful and the culture is amazing.
What’s one thing about you that surprises people?
-
Maybe that I love cooking. I love Italian and Japanese cuisine.
