Q&A / farewell

What is your favorite season and why?

  • Spring. There's something about the atmosphere after a cold, dark winter that makes me feel whole. That transitional state between super cold nights and warm days is where I feel comfortable. One thing I'll never forget is the air in the morning during that time of year. I'm heavily weather dependent regarding my mood, winters hit me hard. Spring solves a lot for me after the cold, but I'm thankful to be able to experience all of the seasons where I'm from, and wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

What do you wish you could tell yourself five years ago?

  • Everything you think is permanent is temporary. You'll go through a lot of extreme highs and extreme lows. There's no shame in anything anymore, so don't carry that weight.

In the last five years, what new belief, behavior, or habit has most improved your life?

  • Taking things day by day. As a kid for years, I stressed forever about my future, a lot of expectations from other people. I matured, and now live for myself and not what other people expect of me. Nowadays, I don't even worry about next week. Think when you need to, cry when you need to. Trying to live with a balance is what I'm after.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?

  • Thought-provoking. Every sound I've chosen to use is a reflection of something I was feeling or had happened in my life. The whole goal is that it makes someone else feel something. I don't like pinning emotions or feelings on my own sound, cause I'd rather that be up for interpretation in a unique way. However it makes you feel, feel it. Don't let me tell you how this should have an impact on you, let it attach to something in your life, and then pass it on.
