What inspires you the most?

• Musically, I find myself the most inspired by different approaches to workflow and composition - a groove made quickly on the Novation Circuit, for example, might spark inspiration that I wasn't feeling when starting a track "in the box" with Ableton. Being able to switch things up in terms of how I create definitely keeps me going. And sometimes when I lose interest in a project or it's just not vibing, I save the melodic loops as samples to chop up and rearrange later!

Where do you feel the most centered and happy?

• I feel most centered and happy in the studio, hands down. Although now that I'm writing it, maybe "the studio" isn't a physical location but more of a mindset you take around with you? Either alone or with friends, I love to be in spaces where being creative and expressing that part of myself feels easy and unbothered.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

• Growing up, my grandfather would always tell me that it was important to work hard, dedicate myself to my studies and all that, but before anything to make sure I was having fun. That always stuck with me and helps me keep my priorities straight :)

In the last five years, what new belief, behavior, or habit has most improved your life?

• Consistently playing/practicing/making music and exercising have been the two biggest boosts to my happiness and quality of life in the past 5 years. Both activities help me to blow off steam and reset my headspace, and I've found ways to keep both super fun and exciting!
