Q&A / Operator:Operator

What inspires you the most?

  • Lately, I think what has been inspiring me the most has been good conversations with people I love. After I get out of time well spent with friends, I always feel energized to want to be better for them and in turn myself. Some of my best work has been products of a high from a good conversation.

If you could relive one moment in your life, which would it be?

  • In December 2019, my fiancé and I took a trip to New Mexico that ended up being one of the greatest getaways of my life. Those days still feel like a moment lost in time and I remember it so vividly. We had initially talked about going back to the same place we stayed to try and recreate how awesome that trip was but have since decided to let it be special for what it was.

Where do you feel the most centered and happy?

  • In my studio for sure. This is where it feels like home. Whether I’m here working by myself or having people come in to work with me, it’s just something I look forward to every day.

In the last five years, what new belief, behavior, or habit has most improved your life?

  • There’s been so much, but if I had to pick one it would probably be quitting weed. Everyone obviously has their own personal relationship with marijuana, but I would probably say that I don’t think my life would look anything like it does today had I not made the decision to walk away from it. Not saying it doesn’t have its benefits or that people shouldn’t do it, but I am saying it’s not for me and it maybe took me a little too long to learn that.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?

  • Pop songs in a lofi style. Fun and happy instrumental music that could be a sleep aid if you wanted it to.
